Celebrating Independence Day in Seven Lakes: Fun for Everyone
The Seven Lakes community is gearing up for an exciting Fourth of July celebration this year, falling on a Friday—an ideal weekend for families and friends to come together and honor America's birthday. From parades to fireworks, residents will have plenty of opportunities to showcase their patriotic spirit and enjoy festive activities.
Festive Parades to Kick Off the Celebration
On July 4, Seven Lakes North and South residents will have the chance to participate in two vibrant parades. The Golf Cart Parade, set to start at 9 a.m. at the North Mail House, encourages creative decorations in red, white, and blue. Participants should arrive 30 minutes early, as they line up excitedly to march down Firetree Lane, with their community lining the route to cheer them on.
The excitement continues with the Boat Parade on Lake Sequoia at 10:30 a.m. Residents are invited to adorn their boats, with preparations beginning at 10 a.m. Observers can choose prime viewing spots at the Sequoia dam or the beach area, ensuring a delightful morning filled with community spirit and creativity.
A Day Full of Festivities and Fireworks
After the parades, the celebration continues with food trucks available from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the pool area. Residents can enjoy delicious bites while a DJ spins tunes from 6-10 p.m. at Sequoia Point. The day culminates with a spectacular fireworks show, lighting up the sky at 9:30 p.m., creating a memorable end to the day.
Seven Lakes West Prepares for a Grand Celebration
Seven Lakes West plans to kick off the Independence Day festivities a day early, with fireworks launched from Pine Knoll Island on July 3 at dusk. The best viewing spots will be from the water or the shoreline, inviting residents to immerse themselves in the celebration. On July 4, a second annual Boat Parade will navigate around the lake, where participants will enjoy cruising while showcasing their patriotic flair.
The weekend’s festivities will wrap up with a concert by the Reflection II Band on July 5, providing a perfect closing to the celebratory weekend. Community members can enjoy music and dancing at Johnson Point, solidifying the spirit of togetherness that makes Seven Lakes so special.
