The event is organized by the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation and provides a unique opportunity for children to connect with Santa and share their holiday wishes.

How It Works: Sending Your Letters

Parents can drop off their children's letters at the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Office, located at 301 Lake Park Crossing, any weekday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. To ensure prompt responses from Santa, letters must arrive by December 1. Don’t forget to include a return address on the envelope, addressed specifically to Santa Claus, North Pole — this helps Santa to reply back with a special message of holiday cheer!

A Heartwarming Community Tradition

With families coming together, the Letters to Santa event not only engages children’s imaginations but also strengthens community bonds. Inspired by similar events across various towns, such as Matawan-Aberdeen’s initiative featuring personalized video messages from Santa, Aberdeen’s version retains its charm by focusing on the simple joy of letter-writing.

Writing to Santa is more than just a festive tradition—it's a chance for children to express their hopes and dreams in a nurturing environment. The act of conveying their wishes to Santa helps foster creativity and confidence in children while reminding families of the magic associated with the holiday season.
